Inspiration Board #2

After some playing around with Pinterest, I'm pretty sure I can't just download a mood board created to the blog. So, I got out Illustrator and made my own. It took a little while, but now I've got the method down for the future. I was so tired last week when I posted my Inspiration Board #2, that I did not even copy and paste to share with you ....hoping that most of you can get onto Pinterest or would.

I decided I'd remake the board and post it today for you to see what  comes into my head with one of my inspiration photos just in case you don't use Pinterest . Use it as a building block for yourself or to simply get the creative juices flowing. If you really look at it, you'll see what it is about each item on the board that made it appropriate based on the inspiration photo used. Enjoy!

Hang in there!

Oh,  my word! How did this many days go by already since my last post?! Hang in there with me guys, please (yes...I am begging!). Fall sports season does a number on us. We literally had seven games just last week between two kids! Ugh! It's been all I can do to get uniforms clean before the next game. Thank goodness for the "speed wash/dry" setting! I look forward to soccer seasons (fall and spring) as it's one of my favorite sports. But I also look forward to the end of it because I am worn out when the whirlwind ends. My two oldest are finally starting to get to the ages where it's getting more skilled, intense and fun to watch - so I'm also a little hoarse:) It's no longer like they are cats being herded down a field! Wha-hoo! The season is over mid-October, so hang in there while I try to keep my head above water. I'll be back in full gear with my posts soon and in full autumn mode as it's starting to cool off here finally.

Until then, I'm leaving you with a new inspiration picture that I'll add to all week in Pinterest.  I'll give you a hint at what grabs me first off with this picture - all the subtle color variations. I've not had time to do a board yet on it, but you feel free to see where your imagination takes you with it! Keep checking Pinterest to see what I add to my boards as well. You never know where this crazy imagination of mine might go with something as simple as feathers:)

What inspires you? Weekly Inspiration #1

What inspires you? Is it a feeling? A textile? Color? Music? A painting? The options are endless. For me, most of the time, it's nature. I look around me and just marvel at the vast array of colors, textures and the way they are combined in glorious arrangements.

Have you ever just taken the time to look at what surrounds you outside the home? There seems to be a general sense that the outdoors are all neutral colors, but if you really look, there is a plethora of vibrancy out there as well as neutrals! That's what makes it so relaxing. There's a perfect balance between extremes. God is such an amazing artist!

I want to start taking you on a little inspirational journey each week. I'm thinking Monday would be a great day for some inspiration as most of us are trying to get back into the grind after our weekend off. We need a little "pick-me-up" to get us going. I'll be sharing one of my photos each week and then doing a Pinterest board with room decor options the photo inspired. The sky's the limit. This is just to get you going. Keep on pinning and make it your own.

Today, I'm inspired by this picture that I've shared before:

I love this picture! It has such great color variations and texture in the clover flower...makes me think of a tween girls bedroom, a pretty, feminine "lady's retreat" such as a dressing room or bachlorette's bedroom, or if you have a man who's really secure in his "manhood" a gorgeous inspiration piece for a dining room design!

I decided to take it in the feminine bedroom design idea with my pin board, titled "Inspiration #1". This picture just takes me in the glamorous direction and I went all out on the pretty stuff! I have to occasionally indulge that side of me as I get to do it little around here with all the testosterone that is floating around my house! I haven't figured out if you can export a board to your blog yet, so I just copied and pasted the items. To see the board, click here.

    
    
 

Now you see where my imagination takes me and have a peek into how nature just gets my wheels cranking. It's the oil for my engine:)  If you haven't joined Pinterest, you really should check it out. It takes care of all those little folders you have clipped images saved into!

I've just recently joined up and someone better hold me down!
